A few days before we started this project, California legalized same-sex marriages. The opportunity arose to capture both perspectives about the issue at this time. We tried to include a variety of opinions, including those who are for gay marriage, moderates, and those opposing it. We interviewed teachers, parents, and students about their views on the recent legalization of same-sex marriage in California on May 15, 2008.
